You’ll find at The House of Hazel you’re oh so central to everything you will need while you’re in Matamata. Located in a residential neighbourhood, 1km north is Matamata town centre where you will find all the bars, restaurants and shops as well as the bus stop to Hobbiton Movie Set & Tours. In the other direction just a few minutes south is Matamata Racecourse on the way to Hobbiton Movie Set & Tours. Matamata truly is very centrally positioned, putting all tourist attractions in the region within reach. Walking routes and hiking trails are plentiful as well as new cycle ways and after a day of exercise there are many different natural hot springs to enjoy. Resident bird life also live on the same property and have been have cultivated through generations in our family. To the best of my knowledge they are running their own successful avian airbnb enterprise from their birdhouses. Don't worry they have a strict no party policy, although have a fairly vocal birdsong at dusk and dawn.
HOH Additional Rules Enter The House of Hazel and make yourself at home :-) For the sake of absolute clarity i've outlined some obvious dos or don’ts read below:
1. No parties or events allowed.
2. No smoking inside.
3. No pets allowed.
4. Although the accommodation hasn’t been child proofed it is suitable for toddlers and children under 12 when they are supervised at all times by their parent / guardian.
5. No un-registered guests.
6. Please don’t eat or drink in the bedrooms.
7. Quiet hours 11pm – 6am
8. Please turn off the a/c and heaters when you leave.
9. Lost keys incur a replacement fee.
10. Guest agrees to pay for any damages and inform the host of damages as soon as possible.
11. Please don’t rearrange the furniture.
12. Please do your dishes.
13. No illegal substances on the premises. Your booking will be terminated immediately.
14. Shoes are not to be worn inside.
15. Check in is 3pm / check out is before 10am times but changes may be possible and subject to a fee.
